The Team –Dr.D.Eshwar, Principal, KPRIT, Dr.S.Sreenath Kashyap, Vice Principal KPRIT, Dr.Vipul Dabhi, Professor, Department of ECE,KPRIT, Dr.Marlene, Professor, Department of CSE, KPRIT, Dr.Suryakanth Biradar, Professor, Department of Civil, KPRIT attended the NBA WOSA -2018 from 7th September 2018 to 9th September 2018 at Delhi. On Day 0 7th September 2018, there was registration from afternoon 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. After the registration the day ended up with High Tea and Snacks in the evening.

Day 1:
On 8th September 2018, the program started with the inaugural session for which Mr. Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister, MHRD, Govt. of India was the chief guest along with R. Subramanyam, Secretary, Higher Education, MHRD, Govt. of India and Sukhbindar Singh Sandhu, Additional Secretary, MHRD, Govt. of India, Prof. Surendra Prasad, Chariman, NBA,Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman AICTE & Dr. Anil Kumar Nasa, Member Secretary, NBA. All the dignitaries insisted on the quality of education to be improvised and the main aim of accreditation is the implementation of outcome based education in a way the stake holders of the institute should get benefitted.

After the inaugural session from 11:35 AM to 11:55 AM there was a talk on Achieving excellence through learning outcome by Dr. M. Ananda Krishnan Ex- Chairman, BOG, IIT Kanpur. The speaker explained about the importance of learning outcomes and the process of achieving the excellence through the learning outcomes. After that From 11:55 AM to 12:15 PM a plenary address by Dr. Lincoln wood, National Manager Accreditation Australian Engineering Accreditation center in which he insisted upon the judgment and decision making strategies in Engineering Education. The talk extended up-to 12:30 PM and from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM Prof.Kai Sang lock, Past Chairman, Engineering Board, Singapore gave a talk on Importance of Industry- Academe Partnership in Engineering Education. He gave a gist about the implementation of Industry Institute Interaction cell at Singapore institute of technology and how this III cell will be beneficial to the student community.

The technical session 1 started at 2:00 PM with a first talk on Designing a capstone design course for achieving learning outcomes by Mr Jung Soo Kim, another talk by Deepak Phatak on Three Elephants and ended up with a talk on OBE and Accreditation by Prof.S.C.Sahasrabudhe. In this Technical session 1 the speakers insisted on the how to achieve the excellence through learning outcomes.

The technical session II started at 4:05 PM with a talk on how to engage industry to achieve best practice outcomes in technical education by Mr. Damien Owens, Role ofindustry intechnical education by Mr YogiSriram, Ms. Katy Turf, and ended up with a talk on How to enhance the industry institute collaboration by Dr. Kanmani B. Dr. Ashok KShettar, Vice Chancellor KLE technological University Hubballi, Prof B.B.Ahuja Director college of engineering Pune, Prof K.M.Babu, Principal B.M.S college of Engineering, Bangalore shared their experience of OBE and ended up the day at 6:30PM. Afterwards there was a delicious dinner served for all thedelegates of the summit.

Day 2:
The plenary session II on Day 2 9th September 2018 started with a talk on achieving excellence and relevance in Engineering education experience by Mr Micheal K Milligan, Ranking and Rating Higher Education Institutions , by Mr.P Dwarakanath.

The technical session III started with Ranking of Higher Education Institutions: A Tale of Three years by Prof. Surendra Prasad, Chairman, NBA, Ranking and Rating Institutions by Prof. C.R.Muthukrishnan, Role of e-learning and blended models for quality improvement of engineering Analysis and simulation practices by U. Chandrasekhar. This technical session III insisted on Ranking and Rating of HEI weather Ranking & Ratings play an important role in the quality improvement or not?

The Technical session IV was on how to link government funding with quality and technical session V was on Use of ICT in Accreditation in large jurisdictions.

The summit ended up with a valedictory function where Prof. Maya Ingle summarized about the talks and how the entire program compelted. The Chief guest Prof. R.Subramanian, SukhbirSingh Sandhu , Prof. Surendra Prasad, Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Dr. Anil Kumar Nasa insisted on the implementation of OBE for better quality and how it should be beneficial to the students, HEI’s & Society.The return journey started to Hyderabad and the team of KPRIT reached safely on 9th September 2018 midnight.
