Dr. Challa Dhanunjaya Naidu is a distinguished academic leader, administrator, researcher, and mentor with over four decades of experience in higher education, engineering academics, institutional development, and research innovation. With a remarkable career spanning teaching, academic administration, accreditation leadership, and strategic institutional growth, he brings a rich legacy of excellence to Kommuri Pratap Reddy Educational Society (KPRES).
Before joining KPRES as Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Naidu served as Principal of Vallurupalli Nageswara Rao Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNR VJIET), Hyderabad, for more than 15 years, where he played a pivotal role in transforming the institution into one of the leading autonomous engineering colleges in Telangana. He also held several key leadership positions including Advisor & Professor, Director of PG Studies, Vice Principal, Dean Academics, and Head of the Department.
Before joining KPRES as Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Naidu served as Principal of Vallurupalli Nageswara Rao Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNR VJIET), Hyderabad, for more than 15 years, where he played a pivotal role in transforming the institution into one of the leading autonomous engineering colleges in Telangana. He also held several key leadership positions including Advisor & Professor, Director of PG Studies, Vice Principal, Dean Academics, and Head of the Department.
Dr. Naidu holds a Ph.D. from JNTUH College of Engineering, Hyderabad, along with M.Tech in Instrumentation & Control Systems and B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with distinction. His areas of specialization include Signal Processing, Image Processing, Neural Networks, Embedded Systems, and VLSI Design.
A visionary academic administrator, Dr. Naidu has been instrumental in establishing and strengthening academic systems, autonomous regulations, NBA and NAAC accreditation processes, research centers, and outcome-based education frameworks. Under his leadership, institutions successfully secured UGC recognition, TEQIP funding, AICTE and DST-sponsored projects, and multiple research initiatives worth several crores.
An accomplished researcher and innovation leader, Dr. Naidu has published more than 60 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences, authored book chapters, guided Ph.D. scholars and postgraduate research, and contributed significantly to patents and funded research projects. His scholarly contributions have earned wide academic recognition with notable citations and research impact indices.
Dr. Naidu is also known for fostering student-centric learning environments, promoting technical innovation, strengthening industry-academia collaboration, and encouraging research culture among faculty and students. He has organized numerous international conferences, workshops, seminars, and professional development programs throughout his career.
