College Academic Committee
The committee comprises of Principal, Heads of Department and senior faculty translates the policy decisions of the management into implementable activities and follows up with their execution.
Functions and Responsibilities
- To review the academic, students, faculty development programs and other related activities of the college.
- To visualize and formulate perspective plans, Master Plan for the development and growth of the college.
- To formulate and plan for resource mobilization through industry interaction, consultancy and extramural funding.
- To promote research and extension activities, teaching innovations and student placement programs in the college campus.
- To plan for sustaining the quality of education, quality improvement and accreditation of the college.
- To recommend schemes to promote participation of academic departments in community development activities in the region.
- To consider such other activities for furtherance of academic excellence
Programme Assessment Committee
The committee comprises of Principal, Head of the Department, Senior faculty, Academicians and Industry Persons.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Monitoring the activities of the department to check whether they are achieving the Vision and Mission.
- Suggesting way and means to reduce the curriculum gaps in achieving PO’s and PSO’s.
- Evaluating program effectiveness and proposing necessary changes.
- Measuring the extent of adherence to planned activities and calendar of events.
- Motivating the faculty and students towards attending workshops, developing projects, working models, paper publications and engaging in research activities.
Cultural Committee
Cultural Committee is one of the crucial committees responsible for the jazz factor during the students’ college life. We are a bunch of motivated individuals who believe that a college should have its equal share of fun & frolic along with the case studies. Cultural Committee is an attempt to capture the vibrant personal of the students by offering them a platform to showcase their inner musicians, dancers, actors, painters, writers, photographers and dreamers.
Functions and Responsibilities
- The Cultural Committee shall be responsible for all intra and inter collegiate cultural events in the College.
- To plan and schedule cultural events for the academic year. (Tentative dates to be included in the academic calendar of the institute.)
- To prepare budget for all cultural events and take necessary steps for its approval.
- The Coordinator of the committee shall conduct a meeting of the committee to discuss and delegate task.
- Procedure to organize cultural events:
- To prepare the Annual Budget for various cultural event.
- To obtain formal permission from the College authorities to arrange program.
- To decide the date, time and agenda of the program.
- To inform members of staff and students about the event.
- To arrange the venue and logistics (audio/video system, dais, podium etc).
- To invite the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
Examination Committee
To conduct examinations as per the rules and regulations of the university. Finalizing the internal marks and attendance and forwarding the attendance to university including condonation and detention lists.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Internal/External Examinations time table and display in notice board in advance.
- Invigilation duties should be prepared in advance and inform to the invigilators
- Collect the Internal exam Question papers along with required no. of Xerox copies in the sealed cover and supply them to the exam hall 5 min before commencement of exam.
- Make necessary arrangements for end examinations as per OU norms
- Collect the answer scripts after completion of end exams and pack them as per OU norms and submit the same.
- Collect the answer scripts after completion of internal exams. Segregate the sheets according to the subject. Hand over the same to the concerned faculty. The corrected answer scripts to be taken back along with marks in the stipulated time frame.
- Collect the final list of students from the office and allot the roll numbers as per OU norms.
- Collect the examination, late and condonation fee from the students according to the dates prescribed by OU.
- Prepare the list of student's attendances in the form of above 75%, between 65%-75% and below 65%. This is to prepared at the end of semester/academic year and submit to the University along with Hall Ticket Numbers and fee in the stipulated time.
Time Tables Committee
The TTC has been formed for preparing the Institute and Departmental level Time Tables.
Functions of the Committee
To prepare the Central Time table, Department Class Time Tables, Individual Faculty Time
Tables, Work load of Individual Faculty.
Responibilities of the Committee
Coordinator Responsibilities
- Prepare Central Time Table.
- Prepare Institute level Master Time Table.
Member’s Responsibilities
- Prepare the Department Class Time Tables.
- Prepare Individual Faculty Time Tables.
- Prepare Faculty work load before the starting of the semester.
Library Committee
KPRIT College established a spacious Central Library. It started its function with a vision toserve the information needs of its users and to promote a continuous learning atmosphere mwith updates in various Text Books, Reference Books, e-Books, Journals, Magazines, E-Journals, Subject PPTs, Subject Animations, Project Reports, Tutorials and Video Lessons related to engineering and allied subjects. Central Library provides abundant information and intellectual requirements to the students and faculty with a user-friendly approach. It offers a fully integrated and peaceful environment for conducting academic study.
Functions
- Serve as an interpreter of the requirements of the library to the committee and authorities and recommend for funds needed.
- Provide support to the librarian in taking important decisions having implications for the users.
Responsibilities of the committee members
- Provide the list of existing books in the Central Library and Information Centre to the respective departments.
- Monitors proper utilization of the Library resources.
- Guide all Library acquisitions.
- Monitors the allocation of funds to procure books, journals and e-learning resources.
- Discuss and place its views on any library related matter as required by the college management.
Faculity members
- Prepare and provide the list of recommended books as per the syllabus
- Monitors the allocation of funds to procure books, journals and e-learning resources
- Monitors the library facilities and suggest measures to make the library services more user – friendly and easily accessible.
- The committee shall take into consideration all the procurement criteria, and rules and regulations of the Library management, including cataloguing and access administration.
Librarian
- Organizes and disseminates many resources to meet various needs of the Users.
- Receives the list of recommended books from the departments and check with available copies.
- Consolidate the lists and prepares the purchase orders to procure books, journals and other required material for the Central Library.
- Librarian monitors the process of purchased books like cataloguing, classification and automation and makes them utilization.
Student Member
- Student members shall give feedback about the availability of books and journals and other resources as per the prevailing regulations. They shall also inform all the other students about the functioning of the library.
- Suggest the books to procure as per the syllabus and beyond the syllabus to enhance their knowledge.
Industry Institute Interaction Cell
Objectives
- To explore and identify common avenues of interaction with industry
- To Establish Centre of Excellence by Industry/ Corporate to Provide Real Time exposure on Technologies
- To promote various research activities by the faculty members and students.
- To establish convergence with industrial and research organizations from various fields through MOUs as a form of interaction.
Functions and Responsibilities
- To organize Workshop on trending technologies by experts in the field.
- To assist the Departments in organizing workshops, conferences and symposia with joint participation of the industries.
- Encouraging professionals from industries to visit institution to deliver lectures
- To organize industrial visits for Faculty members and students.
- To coordinate/ identify industrial partners for proposing ‘Centre for Excellence’.
- To assist the Training and Placement Division.
- Visit of industry executives and practicing engineers to the institute for seeing research work and laboratories.
- Memorandum of Understanding between the institute and industries to bring the two sides emotionally and strategically closer.
- Visits of faculty to industry for study and discussions or delivering lectures on subjects of mutual interest.
- Visiting faculty/professors from industries.
- Practical training of students in industries.
Entrepreneurship Development Cell
This cell is formed to develop spirit/awareness on entrepreneurship among the students, To develop the advanced skill of creativity and innovative thinking, To empower and inspire students to take initiatives and accept responsibilities to thrive in the challenging world and To become employment creators than seekers.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Organize entrepreneurship awareness camps, entrepreneurship development programmes, skill development programmes
- Organize Business Plan Competitions
- Arrange students-to-entrepreneurs "face to face" programmes
- Initiate innovative student projects for innovative product development
- Guide and assist potential entrepreneurs in the process of setting up, growing and managing the new venture
- Arrange guest lectures by successful entrepreneurs and provide a platform for interaction between professional entrepreneurs and student entrepreneurs
- Mentor student who have business ideas by placing them under the supervision of entrepreneurs, under a mentorship scheme
- Organize faculty development programmes to sensitize the faculty members in the college regarding the importance of entrepreneurship in real life, corporate life and economic development of the country
Alumni Association Committee
KPRIT Alumni Association creates and maintains a life-long connection between the Institute and its alumni. The Alumni Association works to connect alumni, support students and build an unforgettable Institute experience through a diversity of events, programming and services. The mission of the Association is to foster strong bonds between alumni, students and the Institute, to keep alumni informed, and create a network enabling them to remain engaged with their alma mater and help shape its future through the Association’s programmes and services. Joining KPRIT Alumni Association is one of the easiest ways to reconnect, give back to the Institute, and serve as a springboard for further involvement.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Expanding & updating the database of ALUMNI
- Providing the alumni the information about the programs & events conducted in college
- To promote fellow feeling amongst ALUMNI
- To bring together the ALUMNI of the college by arranging frequent meetings.
- Setup guidance cell to aid present & past students
- To ensure maximum participation and involvement of the alumni in the growth of the College.
- To create and promote the goodwill of the college in all possible forums
- To help the placement unit of the college in ensuring higher placements for the students of the College.
- To conduct programs deemed necessary for the welfare of the alumni and the college students.
- To conduct programs or activities necessary for the constructive involvement of the Alumnus of the College in the activities of the college.
Mentoring Committee
The Mentoring Committee has been formed for preparing the Institute and Departmental level Mentoring process.
Functions of the Committee
The mentor provides the mentee. First Career related support second emotional and psychosocial support and also provide guidance and motivation to the students.
Responsibilities of the Committee
Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Assigns a mentor for group of students
Member’s Responsibilities:
- Prepare for the session.
- Follows through on Commitments made to mentee.
- Share resources. Consider and collect any resources that might be useful to the mentee.
- Advice the mentees on how to accomplish their goals.
- Informs supervisor of mentoring activities.
Anti Ragging Committee
To participate actively in preventing the menace of ragging as per the directions and guidelines framed by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.
Responsibilities
- The Anti-Ragging Committee should monitor the Anti-Ragging activities in the Institution consider the recommendations of the Anti-Ragging squad and take appropriate decisions as per the AICTE prevention and prohibition of Ragging in KPRIT.
- To Council the senior students on the consequences of Ragging Cases.
- To interact with fresher’s/ 1 st year students/ junior students to know the grievance.
- The squad shall have vigil, oversight and patrolling functions. It shall be kept mobile, alert and active all times and shall be empowered to inspect places of potential ragging and make surprise raids on canteen and other hot spots. The squad shall investigate indicates of ragging and make recommendations to the Anti Ragging Committee and shall work under the overall guidance of the Anti Ragging Committee.
- To ensure that no seniors enter the fresher’s floors
- To keep a close vigil on seniors.
- Anti ragging squad members to submit the report as per format through Anti Ragging Squad Head to Anti Ragging Committee through undersigned.
- To identify few senior students in each Block/Floor without disclosing their names to inform the Anti Ragging Squad members from time to time about if any Ragging incidents to act upon immediately.
Women Protection Cell
The objective of Women Protection Cell is to enhance the understanding of issues related to women and to make the college campus a safe place for all girl students and women employees. It also provides a platform for women to share their experience and views regarding their status in the society and suggest ways to empower themselves. Aiming at intellectual and social upliftment of the female students, the cell stands for facilitating women empowerment through Seminar, Role play, Street play, Games, awareness programs and other welfare activities.

- Creating awareness and preventive steps towards protection of women staff/female students from sexual harassment in the college.
Responsibilities
- Awareness building among girl student about self-protection
- Motivation and awareness of the girl student about their strengths
- Protection of the girl students
- Organizing the health awareness program.
- Solving girl students related issues and complains.
- Creating awareness about women’s welfare.
- Handle case works and counselling.
- Improving interpersonal skill.
- Conducting Woman’s Day Program.
- To create awareness about the problems of women and in particular regarding gender discrimination.
- To guide about Women Welfare Laws.
- To highlight the importance of health and hygiene.
- To directs Women’s role in the society. To develop multidisciplinary approach for the overall personality development.
- To organize seminars, workshops relating to women development.
- To prevent sexual harassment and to promote general well-being of female students, teaching and non-teaching women staff of the Institute.
Grievance Redressal committee
The objective of the grievance Redressal procedure is to provide an easily accessible machinery for settlement of grievances and to adopt measures in the college undertakings as would ensure expeditious settlement of grievances of staff/Student (teaching and non-teaching) leading to increased satisfaction on the job and resulting in improved productivity and efficiency of the organization. To solve student grievances may relate to assessment/Victimization/Attendance/Harassment by colleague students or the teachers etc. Solve faculty issues arising from their employment/in-disciplinary action among staff members/termination/ allegations
Objectives
- To introduce a fair, impartial and consistent mechanism for redressal of various issue faced by the students/parents.
- To create awareness of availability of members for students and faculties to report grievances.
- To develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all stakeholders, there by maintaining a harmonious atmosphere in the KPRIT campus.
- To advise stakeholders to respect the right and dignity of one another, and not to behave in a vindictive manner towards any of them for any reason.
- To ensure the grievances are resolved promptly, neutrally and in complete confidentially.
- To uphold the dignity of the KPRIT by promoting cordial student-teacher relationship.
Functions
- To receive complaints of students and redressal of grievances of students. The cases will be attended promptly on receipt of written grievances from the students.
- This committee will deal with all the Grievances directly which are related to the common problems at Institute level both academic and administrative.
- In addition, this committee will also entertain the appeal filed by the student against the decision of the HOD/Chairman.
- The Committee will review all cases and will act accordingly.
- The Committee will give report to the authority about the cases attended and the number of pending cases, if any, which require direction and guidance from the higher authorities.
College Disciplinary Committee
Responsibilities
- To maintain and enforce strict discipline within the college campus.
- All the students should wear their ID Cards while they are in the campus and their respective class rooms.
- In case of any violation of dress code or disturbance in the class, the ID card will be confiscated from the student which will be handed over to the student on the same day with a warning and advice from the Disciplinary Committee Members.
- In case of any misbehaviour or violation of the college rules, the ID cards of the students will be kept with the Disciplinary Committee Members till the enquiry is over.
- To monitor the movement of the students in the college and prevent students loitering around in the corridors during the college working hours.
- To ensure that students maintain complete silence in the library.
- If any damage is caused to the college property by any student / group of students, the cost of the same will be recovered with a fine from the said student / group of this will be followed by disciplinary action.
Finance Committee
A Finance Committee is generally a standing committee of the board of members that works mwith the Principal and the financial staff to monitor the finances of the organization. The finance committee is charged with protecting and renewing the institution’s resources and helping the board fulfil its fiduciary responsibilities," .Specifically, it must effectively mperform two primary roles in college and under university governance: Ensure that the institution’s mission and purposes are fulfilled, by making certain resources (human, physical, technological, and financial) are secured, appropriately allocated, and adequately protected, maintained, and renewed.
Functions and Responsibilities
- To help a board fulfil its fiduciary responsibility
- To protect the organization from legal challenges and liability.
- To guard the organization against illegal, unethical, or incompetent activities by fiscal managers.
- To protect the organization from actual or apparent conflict of interest.
- To act as an advisory panel to the financial operation.
- To evaluate both the financial operation and the people in charge of it from a position of knowledge.
- Catch any illegal, unethical, or incompetent financial dealings engaged in by individuals or groups that the organization deals with, or financial arrangements that may harm the organization or someone else.
- Participating in the annual audit.
- Evaluating the organizations fiscal operation, and those in charge of it.
- Ensuring that the financial elements of the organization are in accord with its vision, mission, and strategic plan.
- Reporting to the board and/or Executive Committee about the financial condition of the organization, and/or any financial irregularities or inefficiencies.
- Examine and scrutinize the annual budget of the Institute prepared by the principal and make recommendations to the governing body.
Social Welfare Committee
It is equally important to uplift the underprivileged communities and reach the unreached to provide higher education which will be useful in the long run for the benefit of deprived communities. Both local and central governments are also providing many schemes for the eradication of backwardness in the deprived communities.
Functions of the Committee
- Maintain database of students belongs to SC/ST/BC community.
- To make the students aware of the various schemas/Assistances/Scholarships/Available for students
- Committee continuously monitors the effective implementation of the Social Welfare policies intended for SC/ST/BCs Welfare by Govt. of Telangana.
Responsibilities of the Committee
Coordinator Responsibilities:
- To request to all department Faculty members to get the list of SC/ST/BC Students.
- Monitoring of Scholarships to SC/ST/BC Students and endowment benefits to the students in our college as per state government rules.
- Monitoring the reservation Policies and welfare schemes intended for SC/ST/BC Welfare by Government of Telangana.
Member’s Responsibilities
- To get the list of SC/ST/BC students list from the scholarship section of the college.
- Enquiring about the benefits of the SC/ST/BC students and listing out of the Complaints if any.
- Monitoring of Scholarships to SC/ST/BC Students and endowment benefits to the students in our college as per state government rules.
- Monitoring the faculty members to explain all government Reservation policies, financial and academic facilities to be received from the state government to students.
Student members
- Helping to the faculty members in enquiring about the benefits and other responsibilities of the faculty members.
Transportation Committee
This committee is formed to ensure convenience in travelling for students and faculty. The transportation service operates on all working days, at fixed timings from various places predefined to be operated from.
Functions of the Committee
- Supervise the daily bus operation and giving instructions to the bus in-charges
- Inspecting the condition of the buses and reporting for necessary actions and periodically checking the documents of the buses
- To Issue the bus pass to all students who are using college bus facility
- To maintain attendance register to all drivers and cleaners
- To monitor discipline among the students inside the bus and also to monitor the crowding in the buses regularly and to make alternative arrangement if necessary.
Role and Responsibilities of the Committee members
- Co-Ordinator and Transport in-charge regulate the drivers in buses
- Transport in-charges shall inspect bus passes
- Monitoring the discipline in buses by student members and report to the committee on regular basis.
- Provide transportation service to students, teachers and the Departments after proper assessment of the requisition and ensure optimum use of transportation facility.
- Maintenance and repairs shall look after by faculty members and transport in-charge.
Maintenance Committee
Functions
- To establish regular maintenance of the building and the equipment’s of the institute.
- The committee’s objective is to correspond with the people responsible for the maintenance and monitor the quality of work and given time schedule of the job.
- To monitor regular maintenance in the institute on daily basis.
- To monitor regular annual maintenance of the institute and related infrastructure.
- To monitor and plan major and minor repairs of lab equipment’s and office accessories.
